ExperienceMatthew EtterMaryI had a wonderful time training for my ASES rating with you folks. While I was indeed blessed with ideal weather, my greatest fortune was selecting your facility. From start to finish, the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Stefen is a top-notch instructor, and I was very glad to be able to work with him. He was always quick with praise for a nice landing or good judgment call, but firm and patient enough to make me work on my weak areas. He wouldn't let me slide by with sloppy airspeeds or erratic glassy water approaches. And I'm a much more precise and confident pilot for it. Your facility is first rate. Professional, tidy, with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. And please don't ever get rid of those Adirondack chairs by the ramp! One of the highlights of my vacation was eating lunch every day between training flights, sitting on those chairs, watching the boats and seaplanes pass through the channel. Some people's idea of a vacation might be sipping Mai Tais under an umbrella on a sandy beach. Bah! Give me a diet coke under the apple tree by the seaplane ramp any day.
