Dear Mary:
What gorgeous flying weather! I can only imagine the visibility and view up there!
Thank you very much for your instruction and your hospitality during my three days of instruction in N4141M early this August. It was a high point of my summer.
I hope you were able to easily repair the wingtip of the plane damaged in the storm.
I'm trying to figure out if I can come up for the Greenville (?) flyin weekend in September. I'll let you know after I find out about my September "call" schedule.
Below I've included the text of a note I wrote to Alan, Linda, and Jenny (the three who sent me references last year).
Take care, Clarice
Early this August I had the good fortune to have time off, good flying weather, and Mary Tait Build to instruct me in the PA 12. What a joy to fly that plane from the water to air and back to the water iin such scenic surroundings.
My schedule was intense, three days with two lessons a day, with a check ride on the afternoon of the third day. A bit too intense to know an examiner was coming and I was still learning on the morning of the check ride....but Mary is a good instructor, and packs a lot into one lesson, and my check ride went well.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, as I found Naples Seaplane Service a place where I quickly had confidence in the planes and Mary's skill as an instructor.
Mary and Jim also went out of their way to make me feel at home in Naples for my three short days.
I'd like to get up there again to take a few more lessons just for fun.
Clarice
